知然堂精采六月之光影馬拉松攝影課-英文版及影像sample


希望上一篇文章沒有把大家搞得頭昏腦脹。接下來,是英文版的課表和一些影像的打光sample。或許大家影像與文字對照一下,會比較清楚syko要教的東西。

Lighting & Exposure Class Part 1 - for beginners

Date : June 7, 08 (Saturday)

Time : 12:00 – 17:00

Location : Jui Wai Studio

Fee : NT$1000

Max. of 10 people

Photography level : beginner

But some knowledge will be helpful.

This class is designed to:

Teach you the importance of lighting in pictures.

Teach you how to see the light and pay attention to the details before snapping a picture.

Teach you about the different qualities of light, so that you will be able to choose the appropriate lighting for your needs.

Teach you how to meter for the subject being photographed.

Teach you to know when & why to change the exposure.

Build your confidence so that you will know how to handle a given lighting condition.

Please bring photos that you want to know about the lighting techniques used.

Lecture on - Basic Camera Operation

To understand metering and exposure.

Demonstration on controlling the quality of light.

In this demo, we will show you:

How to utilize diffusers & reflectors.

How to control the contrast between foreground and background.

How to choose the right lighting for the subject.

How to get the best out of uncontrollable lighting conditions.

During the demo, we will be taking pictures of different subject matter, such as, people, buildings, sceneries, & objects, so that you can apply the techniques onto your own subject of interest.

We will also answer such questions as:

What is the “magic light”?

When & why do I need to under or over expose?

When is it too dark to take a picture?

Is it possible to have too much light to take a picture?

Lighting & Exposure Class part 2 - for intermediate level

Date : June 21, 08 (Saturday)

Time : 12:00 – 17:00

Location : Jui Wai Studio

Fee : NT$1200

Max. of 10 people

Photography level : Intermediate

But some knowledge will be helpful.

This class is designed to:

Teach you how to better handle the lighting situation by covering more in-depth about the properties of light.

Teach you how to use and control studio lights.

Teach you the difference between shooting Digital verses Film with lighting issues.

Teach you how to expose (Film) for push and pull process.

Teach you how to utilize color filters in B&W photography (with film or digital cameras).

For this class, the participants are expected to fully understand the operation of the camera and have basic knowledge in lighting and metering.

Digital verses film in lighting.

Demonstration on using filters in Black & White photography.

The effects of color filters.

Why do some people have yellow filter on their lens?

When & why do I need to use a color filter?

What is a polarizing filter?

Demonstration on fill-flash.

Using on-camera flash as fill light under sunlight,

or as main light in shade .

Demonstration on Basic Studio Lighting.

We will set up and take pictures of people and objects to: Show how to create a nice lighting effect for the subject. And show how to control the contrast by use of Main (Key) Light and Fill Light ratio.

Additional Info:

These classes will be taught at a college level (with a smile), and the participants are expected to come prepared with questions, take notes and PARTICIPATE in any discussions.

Disclosure:

Even though you will gain tremendous amount of information, YOU CAN NOT EXPECT TO BE A PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER JUST BY TAKING COUPLE OF CLASSES. As with any training, you must practice and apply the information onto real situations and challenge yourself in order to get to the higher level.

Pinhole Camera

Date : June 8, 08 (Sundday)

Time : 12:00 – 16:00

Location : Mogu Studio

Fee : NT$800

Photography level : beginner

This class is designed to:

Have a lot of fun making your own pinhole camera.

In this class:

You will make a Pinhole Camera to take home, using simple materials.

We will provide all necessary materials and information.

We will demonstrate by shooting Polaroid film and show you samples.

We will show you how to make wide angle or telephoto lens.

We will show you how to make a Digital SLR Pinhole Camera.

Strobe: 攝影棚燈


Artificial Light: 人造光 ( 我剛看了這張照片愣了一下,圖中的庫尼老伯是溪口高中死黨,也是專業的手工衝浪板造型師,會根據你的身高體重、衝的浪、衝浪型態幫你量身訂做衝浪板,還可 以放自己的logo、顏色或圖像←是不是應該找一群人來團購?。這是很多年前他幫溪口shape的板子,這個板子也千里迢迢的跟著我們到台灣。Shape surfboard要把兩邊的燈打的超亮,才能很仔細的做出很流線又對稱的好板子)



Diffuse Light : 柔光


Hard Light: 很熱也很直接的光


Lense Flare: "Flare" - 看得到"線"的光,多半呈喇叭狀由中心向外擴散。台語有句很貼切的話,叫"金光閃閃、瑞氣千條",乃 Lense Flare 最高境界之寫照。

Window Light: 窗戶之自然光


Overcast and Color: 陰天與色彩。 我不知道大家有沒有在陰天時特別注意某一些顏色,如圖中的orange cone (ㄟ~那個東西中文是啥?),或是一些剛剛冒出來的綠草,都有些"螢光"作用,好像自己會發光。
